Test Control and Measurement Software

Monday, June 01 2009

Jacobs Technology Group, Tullahoma, TN, offers Test SLATE test control and measurement software that enables users to create a data acquisition and test automation program using point-and-click Windows-based graphical tools on any PC. Data is visually presented in the style and format chosen by the user, and the display format and content may be modified on the fly using drag-and-drop graphics. It is composed of off-the-shelf components such as National Instruments’ LabVIEW and Microsoft’s SQL Server Express. The software supervises all control and measurement activities in automated testing using solutions as simple as a single PC, to multi-system networked architectures. The program coordinates control and measurement functions from multiple vendors’ hardware, and can take hundreds of measurements simultaneously. The system is designed for applications in aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing, but is adaptable to environmental test and measurement applications, automating and collecting data for conditions such as wind, moisture, speed, temperature, and pressure.
